Preseason: Wed 5 & Thurs 6

We are half way through the week and that means closer to the start of the regular season. Here's the games that happened Wednesday and Thrusday.


Wednesday night The Boston Bruins won against the New York Rangers with a final of 5-4. Jake Debrusk, Pavel Zacha, David Pastrnak, Davis Krejci and Mike Reilly have goals for Boston. Mika Zibanejad (x2), and Kaapo Kakko (x2) have goals for New York. The Washington Capitals beat the Detroit Red Wings 4-2. Tyler Beruzzi and Michael Rasmussen scored the goals for Detroit and Connor McMichael, Nick Jensen, Connor Brown and Alexander Ovechkin scored for D.C.


Winnipeg Jets go 5-0 against the Calgary Flames. Goal scorers were Kyle Connor (x2), Mark Scheifele, Dominic Toninato and Nikolaj Ehlers. Colorado Avalanche win 2-1 against the Dallas Stars, Riley Damiani scoring the first goal for Dallas but shortly after Logan O'Connor and Mikko Rantanen score for Colorado. The Vancouver Canucks score 5 goals against the Edmenton Oilers who score 4. Elias Pettersson (x2), Nils Hoglander, Tanner Pearson and Conor Garland score for the Canucks and Connor Mcdavid, Zach Hyman, James Hamblin and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins score for the Oilers.


Thursday night, The Florida Panthers beat the state rival Tampa Bay Lightning, 3-2. Nick Paul and Vladislav Namestnikov score for the Bolts while Zac Dalpe, Aleksi Heponiemi, and Brandon Montour score for the Panthers. New York Islanders beat the New Jersey Devils 5-2 when only Ryan Graves and Graeme Clarke scored for the NJ team and Matt Barzal, Noah Dobson, Ross Johnston, Anthony Beauvillier and Aatu Raty score for the NY team.


The Ottowa Senators win 4-3 against the Montreal Canadiens. Drake Batherson, Beady Tkachuk, Tim Stützle and Claude Giroux for Ottowa; Kaiden Guhle, Kirby Dach and Josh Anderson for Montreal. Columbus goes 7-0 against the St. Louis team. Those who scored are: Patrick Laine, Yegor Chinakhov, Jack Roslovic, Zach Werenski, Jakub Voracek, Cole Sillinger and Justin Danforth.


Minnesota wins 4-1 against Chicago. Only Jack Johnsons scores for the Blackhawks and Marco Rossi, Frederick Gaurdreau, Mats Zuccarello and Sam Steel score for the Wild. The Vegas Golden Knights win 6-4 against the Los Angeles Kings. The first period Kevin Fiala (LAK), Gabriel Vilardi (LAK) and Reilly Smith (VGK) scored; second period Brayden McNabb, Chandler Stephenson and Jonathan Marchessault score, all Vegas players; third period Trevor Moore(LAK), Reilly Smith again(VGK), Sean Durzi (LAK) and Alex Pietrangelo (VGK) scored.
